Alexander Isaac Rothmann
Photographer
Alexander Isaac Rothmann (AIR) is a self-taught analog and digital photographer from Bremerhaven, born in 1996 and now based in Hamburg, driven by a passion for storytelling, nostalgia, and capturing raw, unfiltered moments that feel timeless and deeply personal.
His photographic journey began in the early days of Tumblr and Pinterest, where moody aesthetics, film grain, and cinematic tones first sparked his imagination. He spent countless nights curating inspiration, absorbing visuals, and honing his eye for detail on these platforms, which helped shape his aesthetic sensibilities. This deep immersion in mood boards and dreamscapes gave him a unique perspective – one that blends emotional nostalgia with a modern cinematic touch. When he discovered his father’s analog camera as a child, it became his gateway into the world of photography.
Alexander strives for authenticity in his work, capturing moments that are unpolished, (sur)real, and resonant. Whether shooting on film or digital, his goal is to create images that feel like memories – where light, texture, composition, and atmosphere tell stories beyond the frame. With an MBA, he brings a structured yet creative approach to his work. For him, photography is about crafting emotion, capturing truth, and building narratives that linger.
If you're seeking imagery with feeling, depth, and nostalgia, let’s connect – and create something meaningful together.
